Drummoyne is part of the Canada Bay council area, which gives you up to four free bulk household collections a year – but you need to book at least three weeks ahead.
When you book, you also have to nominate the types of material being collected. Anything you fail to declare simply won’t be taken.
The type of building you live in determines how it works. Houses and smaller unit blocks book their own collections, while larger apartment complexes need to go through a building manager.
Council crews also won’t step onto your property, so everything has to be carried out to the kerb yourself.
Building materials aren’t accepted, and neither is commercial waste. For the businesses along Lyons Road and Victoria Road, the service isn’t available at all.
If you want a simpler way to clear out rubbish in Drummoyne, Ridly is here to help. No volume limits, no three week lead time, and no hauling your own rubbish out to the kerb the night before.
Our team comes to your property, carries everything from where it sits, and cleans up afterwards. Book before 11am to take advantage of same-day collection.
